Exit

The fast-paced premise is tied together by an interesting, minimalist art style, which is to say it looks like a comic book starring clip-art silhouettes from the '30s. But while the visuals look simple, they animate beautifully and give the game a frantic edge. Add a jazzy soundtrack, more than 100 disaster areas for players to explore and the promise of downloadable levels, and Exit could be a must-have for PSP owners when it arrives in February.

After graduating from college in 2000 with a BA in journalism, I worked for five years as a copy editor, page designer and videogame-review columnist at a couple of mid-sized newspapers you've never heard of. My column eventually got me a freelancing gig with GMR magazine, which folded a few months later. I was hired on full-time by GamesRadar in late 2005, and have since been paid actual money to write silly articles about lovable blobs.
