General Aladeen saddles up

The Dictator is the latest comedy creation from Sacha Baron Cohen, and we’ve got our hands on a brand new international poster for the film.
Like the movie's previous promo material, it’s indicative of General Aladeen’s considerable lack of restraint and tact, as it sees him galloping through New York on a camel.
The poster’s actually a pretty handy visual metaphor for the film’s plot: dictator Aladeen (of the Middle Eastern Republic of Wadiya) flounders like the metaphorical fish-out-of-water when he arrives in the Big Apple.
Shorn of his beard, he’s left unrecognisable and is forced to get a job to make ends meet. We’re hoping culture-clash hilarity will ensue…
Frequent SBC-collaborator Larry Charles is directing, though the film opts for a more conventional narrative, rather than going for the same mockumentary style as Borat and Brüno .

The Dictator opens in the UK on 18 May 2012.
