This exclusive new Justice League image reveals Jason Momoa in all his sub-aquatic glory
As we continue to edge closer to the release of the Justice League movie this November, let's take a moment to shine the spotlight on one particularly exciting new character who'll be fighting alongside Batman, Wonder Woman, and all the rest in the latest cinematic outing from DC.
Arthur Curry, otherwise known as Aquaman, will be making his first appearance as a member of the Justice League next month, and the new issue of our sister publication Total Film magazine - on sale today - is practically drowning in all the info you need to know about the character, including an interview with the man who plays him - Jason Momoa himself.
If you haven't got your hands on a copy yet, though, fear not, as 12DOVE can at least whet your appetite with this exclusive image from the upcoming Justice League movie, which shows Momoa's Aquaman doing the two things that he does best - swimming, and looking ridiculously bad-ass.
As that exclusive image aptly shows, Aquaman is very much a man of the water (hence the name), but it's unclear as to why he's looking so angry in this scene, or even where he's headed. Someone's in trouble though, that's for sure.
What is it that motivates the sub-aquatic superhero to emerge from the seas and join Batman and his newly formed Justice League in the fight against Steppenwolf? We're not sure yet, but director Zack Snyder's third film in the DC Extended Universe will hopefully offer a well-rounded portrayal of the character that fans know and love from the comic books.
A solo Aquaman movie is also officially in the works, and production is currently underway in Australia under the direction of James Wan, whose name you may recognise from his directorial work on horror movies like The Conjuring, Insidious, and the original (aka, the best) Saw movie. Alongside Jason Momoa, the film is decked out with an all-star cast, including Willem Dafoe, Amber Heard, and Patrick Wilson.
The Aquaman movie is slated for a release date of December 21, 2018, but you can catch the character in Justice League first on November 17, 2017.

Superman’s super dog Krypto may look all innocent in the trailer, but James Gunn says he is a "terrible dog" and is based on his own mischievous mutt
Superman will "sort of" have a post-credits scene but it won't be similar to the "pain in the ass" story setup that James Gunn still regrets from Guardians of the Galaxy 2
