Eva Green enticed by Tim Burtons Dark Shadows
Will play female lead
Tim Burton’s adaptation of Gothic ‘60s TV series Dark Shadows is shaping up to be one of the most interesting films currently in production.
At least in the casting stakes. With Johnny Depp again paired up with his favourite director, Eva Green has just entered into talks to play the film’s female lead.
She would tackle the role of Angelique, Depp’s love interest and a witch who’s affection for vampire Barnabas Collins both torments and titillates her.
If Green could hold her own against Bond in Casino Royale , she’s definitely got the chops to weird it up with Johnny Depp.
In addition to Green and Depp, Jackie Earle Haley is also in talks to star in Burton’s new film, as well as Neighbours actress Bella Heathcote.
Dark Shadows starts shooting in April.
