Epic Games on Steam!
Unreal, Unreal II and, erm, Unreal Tournament on download service
Epic Games and Valve have set off the PR fireworks this morning, revealing that the Unreal developer's vast catalogue of, erm, Unreal games are now available for purchase through Steam.
The Epic shooters now available on Steam include Unreal Gold, Unreal II: The Awakening and every Unreal Tournament EVER made (apart from, oddly, Unreal Tournament 2003 - perhaps Epic wants to forget about that one?)
You can get the lot of them in the Unreal Deal Pack, priced at a pretty incredible $59.95 (£29!). And, to celebrate the launch, Valve has slashed Epic's games on Steam by 10%. Don't they want to make any money?
"Steam is a revolutionary technology that opens up an entirely new way to put our games into the hands of millions of PC gamers around the world," says Jay Wilbur, vice president of Epic.
"Valve has changed the face of digital distribution for game developers, publishers and consumers, and we are thrilled to be a part of the Steam community."
