Venom 3 is finally here, and The Last Dance is one emotional send-off for Eddie Brock and his symbiote pal.

The new film, which is officially titled Venom: The Last Dance, sees Eddie and Venom teaming up to take on an extraterrestrial threat from the symbiote's home, and it's action-packed – while still featuring all the banter and shenanigans that we know and love from this duo.

Venom 3 release date
The Venom 3 release date was October 25, 2024, just in time for Halloween in both the US and the UK.

Venom 3 trailer
The final Venom 3 trailer came out on September 12, 2024, and gave us tons of insights into the new movie's story. In the teaser, we see a bunch of symbiotes heading to Earth as Venom prepares for the ultimate showdown against a mysterious figure he calls his "creator."
If you are wondering who this big bad is, well, it's Knull (aka one of the best Marvel villains of all time).
The teaser is also packed with explosives, action, and, of course, some comedy from the main duo. So, be sure to check it out for yourself in the video above.

Venom 3 plot
The Venom 3 plot sees Eddie and Venom on the run from both earthly forces and Knull's army of symbiote-eating monsters. That's because, together, Eddie and Venom form the key to Knull's release from his prison – a tracking signal activates if Venom fully takes over Eddie, so the duo are forced to limit their powers.
The multiverse quandary is resolved pretty quickly when Eddie and Venom are yanked back to the Sony-verse without ceremony, meeting their own version of the bartender from the Spider-Man: No Way Home post-credits scene. Later, military man Rex Strickland arrives and takes a leftover sample of Venom.
Eddie and Venom are trying to make it to New York, but they end up hitchhiking to Vegas with a friendly family led by alien-obsessive Martin. When they arrive, they take a brief detour to go gambling and catch up with Mrs. Chen. Then, Knull's creature finds them, and they're taken captive by Strickland.
In Area 55, Mulligan and his symbiote are killed by Knull's forces, and Eddie and Venom are forced to make a last stand. With some help from Martin and his family, they're able to hold off the alien creatures, but it's not enough. Venom chooses to sacrifice himself to save Eddie and the world.
Later, in the Venom 3 post-credits scenes, we see Knull pledging to wreak havoc, as well as a tease that the Venom sample survived – meaning the symbiote could reunite with Eddie again.
Venom 3 review
The Venom 3 reviews have been pretty negative, giving the movie a low score on Rotten Tomatoes. Our own Venom 3 review is just 2 stars, and the verdict reads: "Occupies a space far more safe and sanitized than the source comics, all boiling down to one big chase movie."
