When is Inside Out 2 coming to streaming? The Disney Plus date has now been revealed
Jump for Joy!
Inside Out 2 didn't go straight to streaming, which is a good thing, given its historic opening at the box office.
Still, Inside Out 2 will come to Disney Plus at some point – and Disney has finally confirmed exactly when we can expect to see Joy and co. back on our small screens at home. The film sees a new emotion on the block: Anxiety, who's here to wreak havoc in Riley's head.
Head on down to the below to see Inside Out 2's confirmed Disney Plus release date. Then, be sure to check out the Inside Total Film podcast interview with Pixar’s chief creative officer Pete Docter.
When is Inside Out 2 releasing on Disney Plus?
Inside Out 2 will be released on Disney Plus on September 25. That's a few months on from its June 14 theatrical release, which makes sense, considering the film's massive box office total.
With 103 days passing between Inside Out 2 hitting theaters and arriving on streaming, it's Pixar's longest running theatrical movies of recent years. Lightyear blasted onto Disney Plus after 47 days in August 2022, but that was tempered by the fact that it was a commercial flop for Pixar. Elemental – which had longer legs at the box office and lit a fire under audiences – was released on Disney Plus 89 days after release in September 2023. Again, it's not a huge surprise, as Pete Docter told TIME that the movie has a 100-day theatrical window.
