A spot of gossip on Digital Spy this morning follows the News of the World (which claims to have confirmation from Warner) in reporting that Emma Watson has decided not to sign up for the final two Harry Potter films. She plays Hermione Granger, of course. But apparently she has told bosses that she wants to try other parts, and has rejected their new £2 million offer.
"Emma doesn't want to do it any more," the paper reports Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) as saying. "She's tired of being known as ‘that girl from Harry Potter'."

UPDATE! According to the CBBC Newsround website, Watson will do the last two Potter movies, despite reports claiming otherwise. A spokesperson for Warner apparently told Newsround: "We're extremely confident that Emma will be back for films six and seven." (Thanks SCI FI Wire .)
