Emily VanCamp teases Captain America: Civil War romance and fight scenes
The last few weeks has seen a bevy of interviews for Captain America: Civil War drop online, with everyone from Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr., to Chadwick Boseman and the Russo Bros teasing what's in store for the next Marvel movie. The latest to tease what their character will be up to is Emily VanCamp's Sharon Carter - or Agent 13 as she's known by S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives - who we were introduced to in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The actress was briefly quizzed about Civil War by Entertainment Tonight while promoting her new movie The Girl in the Book, and by all accounts it looks like she's definitely on #TeamCap. Watch the interview below...
VanCamp didn't have a lot to do in The Winter Soldier, but from her comments here it sounds like that will not be the case next year. In the comics Sharon Carter is a highly skilled agent, so it's great to hear that VanCamp will be participating in a fight scene this time round. There's also a romance between Steve and Sharon in the comics, and though it may not get that much screen time it will be interesting to see how that relationship evolves moving forward.
Directed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, and starring VanCamp, Tom Holland, Chris Evans, Robert Downey, Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, Captain America: Civil War opens in UK cinemas on April 29, 2016 and May 6, 2016 in the US.
