Elton John has revealed that a Hollywood biopic of his life is in the works.
The man himself said: "It will be more of a fantasy, Moulin Rouge type of stuff. My life’s been so surreal from buying a football club to God knows what."
Lee Hall, the writer behind Billy Elliot and Steven Spielberg's War Horse , is working on the script. Hall also recently did a top job turning Nigel Slater's biography Toast into a TV movie.
John, born Reginald Kenneth Dwight, has had quite the life, so it'll be interesting to see what elements make it into the final cut.
The project is in the very early stages at the moment, and it's unclear whether the movie will focus on one period of the singer's life, or flit in and out of different eras, I'm Not There style.
Hall and John have collaborated before, when they provided the lyrics and music respectively for the stage musical adaptation of Billy Elliot .
