Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind gets gigantic mod collection

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim may be a long way away from release, but PC fans looking to extend their Elder Scrolls: Morrowind adventures may now have good motivation to do so with the release of the Morrowind 2011 Graphical Project; a collection of graphical upgrades and mods that breathes a little life into Bethesda's ageing classic.

Weighing in at a hefty 4 gigs of content, this compendium of community made content was assembled by Tyler Smith - a Canadian Morrowind enthusiast whose goal was to make all the most effective PC Morrowind mods available in one easy download. Examples of just what those entail can be found in the promotional video below:

“I have played Morrowind since it first came out, and over the years I have seen many guides posted on how to upgrade Morrowind,” writes Smith on the project'sofficial site, which also contains detailed instructions on where to find and correctly install the files. “I hope to cut many hours of downloading a searching...I wanted [to do] this for everyone in case these files disappear over the years.”

Smith also writes about his concern over using some of the mods without permission from their authors, but hopes that an included credit file will smooth over any ill will.

The Morrowind 2011 Graphical Project is available now for free.
