Though it's based on a horrific true story and frequently erupts into graphic violence, there’s a fatal lack of punch – and subtlety – to this kidnap thriller.

Logic also takes a backseat as Eden (Jamie Chung) is abducted and forced into the sex industry by insidious slave driver Bob Gault (Beau Bridges).

When she earns the favour of Bob’s second-in-command, Vaughan (Matt O’Leary), Eden may have found a way out.

Rather than drill into her troubled psyche, though, director Megan Griffiths wastes a great villain and settles for easy answers in a watchable but by-numbers thriller.
