Electronic Artshas broken the Guinness World Record for the largest number of people simultaneously playing air guitar. At Download Festival this weekend, the software giant amassed an appropriately gigantic crowd of 440 Brutal Legend fans who rocked out to Motorhead's Ace of Spades.
The gnarliest rockers were invited onstage to show off their skills alongside South Wales six piece The Blackout and compete to win a coveted limited-edition Tenacious D electric guitar.
The previous record was set last year when 318 participants including Fearne Cotton and Ben Shephard rocked to “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” byThe Darknesson the set of Guinness World Records - Smashed, in London, UK, on 3 October.
