E3 2011: Nintendo quietly announces new Kirby games for DS and Wii

While it seems like some press events have too little info, Nintendo’s conferences are so tightly packed with news that some cool game announcements just aren’t big enough to get the spotlight on the big stage. That was the case with not one, but TWO new Kirby games when Nintendo briefly flashed the game logos at the presser’s close. The titles are Kirby Mass Attack on the DS and Kirby Wii (can that really be the final name?).

Admittedly Kirby Wii was announced last year in Japan, but this is the first it has been confirmed for the US. It’s funny to think that Kirby seemed like one of the more dormant Nintendo series, and recently he’s one of their biggest stars again. Could Epic Yarn been that big a hit? Kirby Wii is primed for fall, while Mass Attack is dated more exactly for September 19.

Is this just enough Kirby, too much, or still not enough for you?
