E3 07: So far, show good
Registration runs smoother than a lubricated crooner
Tuesday 10 July 2007
If there's one thing us delicate gaming hacks can't stand it's events that are badly organised - unless things tick along Swiss style it's guaranteed that we'll be moaning like the old men we will inevitably become further along the fast-moving freeway of life. Thank God for everyone, then, that stage one of E3 - ie registration - felt smoother than pulling on a pair of gossamer panties. Just without the whole guilty pleasure thing.
Registering meant a trip to Santa Monica's Fairmont Hotel and, once there, we waited in line for all of 10 seconds before having our ID checked, photo taken and handed our official E3 Media %26amp; Business Summit passes. We were in and out in under five minutes. And the summit representative told us that it was "the busiest it had been all day". Wallop. Job done and plenty of time to get some beers and burgers before the Microsoft press conference. That's what we call organised. Let's hope the rest of the week slides along just as effortlessly.
