E3 06: Golden Axe
Multi: The arcade classic is back... and we can't wait to hack up elves for magic potions
Sega announced yesterday that they would be bringing their 1989 arcade (and console) success Golden Axe to the Xbox 360 and PS3. Details are scant at the moment, but Sega promises that our favorite features of the classic Golden Axe will return, fully realized for next-gen consoles.
Blending swordplay and magic in its own special mix of action and RPG gameplay, Golden Axe sets you on the path of the Riders, a band of heroes determined to prevent their own extinction. Of course, you'll be able to climb on the backs of creatures and ride them to victory, easily one of the best elements of the Golden Axe series. Look forward to Golden Axe dropping sometime in 2007.
