After a long-running series of multi-platform games, Koei has announcedthat itsnew entry in the heralded Dynasty Warriors franchise will only make its way to the homes of PS3 owners. Xbox 360 and PC versions are not in the cards as the franchise is presented in stereoscopic 3D for the first time.
Dynasty Warriors began its 13-year run as an exclusive title for the original PlayStation, but every game sinceDynasty Warriors 3 has been multi-platform. By bringing the seventh in the series of numbered games to PS3 only,it seems the series isgoing back to its roots.

The news was revealed at a media event in Tokyo, which is where Koei also confirmed the game would be fully rendered in stereoscopic 3D, a format that, from the console side, Sony has been the only one to embrace.
It may be an attempttobuild new energyfor a series that has become a bit... stale. You can only hack-and-slash so many ninjas before it starts to get tiring.
Dynasty Warriors 7 will be available in March 2011 in the US.
