Dragon Age: Inquisition single player DLC coming to PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360 in May

Dragon Age: Inquisition's first single-player DLC pack, The Jaws of Hakkon expansion has been confirmed for a release on PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360 in May of this year by the official Dragon Age Twitter account. The Jaws Of Hakkon is available now as a timed exclusive on Xbox One and PC for £11.99.

Warning: if you want absolutely zero spoilers, I'd suggest stopping here, for fear of terrible rage.

The blurb reads thusly: "In this new adventure, playable within the Dragon Age: Inquisition campaign, you will face powerful foes, gain legendary armour and weapons, and confront an ancient god of war bent on destroying the world." There's talk of finding "the fate of the last Inquisitor" and visiting an Avvar tribe (if you've played the game you'll remember them as the muscular chaps with big bird helmets from the Fallow Mire).

Our spoiler-free review of the Xbox One version, on the other hand, says "there's a fair bit to dig into here, with a swathe more of the same, but lore fiends coming in looking for new revelations will find it lacking".

Outside of the more high-faluting narative stuff, the DLC offers a chunky new area, Frostback Basin, to explore, complete with all the shards, Astrariums and vicious wildlife any Dragon Age player will be familiar with.
