Dr Parnassus is back on track!
A good day for Terry Gilliam...
When Heath Ledger tragically died midway through shooting, we worried that Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus might shut down for good.
But now, thanks to a little help from Colin Farrell, Jude Law and old Gilliam mate Johnny Depp, (who are all playing versions of Ledger’s character in the fantasy portion of the film), Parnassus cranked back into life in Vancouver.
"Since the format of the story allows for the preservation of his entire performance, at no point will Heath's work be modified or altered through the use of digital technology. Each of the parts played by Johnny, Colin and Jude is representative of the many aspects of the character that Heath was playing,” blabbed the producers in a statement.
Variety has the rest of the details.
