Dont let Deus Ex Mankind Divideds trailer fool you, its not all action

It's reveal trailer may have been asking some difficult questions with its themes of segregation, but that didn't stop Deus Ex: Mankind Divided's Adam Jensen from unleashing a torrent of augmented violence on his enemies. So much violence in fact, some fans were worried the series is about to trade its stealthy DNA for all-out action.

It's a worry executive game director Jean-François Dugas from Eidos Montreal is quick to address. In the latest issue of Edge, Dugas explains the latest addition to the Deus Ex franchise will be more than meets the eye. "When you see the trailer, it’s a bit more action-packed than what we did for Human Revolution, and some people out there started to think, ‘Oh my God, this game is going to be more about action.’ That’s not true – it’s going to be the same recipe as it was with Human Revolution," Dugas explains. "I think Human Revolution was doing a lot of that stuff in a good way, but in places we fell short of carrying it through as we should have. For this game, we’re trying to see it through."

While the creator of the original Deus Ex certainlywasn't a fan of Mankind Divided's trailer, the current team at Eidos Montreal is promising the final game will learn from the mistakes of Human Revolution - includingraising the quality of boss fights.
