Doctor Who "The Girl Who Waited Overnight Ratings

Doctor Who triumphs over Ant & Dec
Six million viewers turned into Doctor Who “The Girl Who Waited” on its premiere screening on BBC1 on Saturday evening. That’s up by 0.5 million on the overnights last week for “Night Terrors”, and this time round, Doctor Who beat Red Or Black? , which only had 4.6 millions viewers for its 7pm show.
The episode was third for the night after The X-Factor (10.6 million) and Strictly Come Dancing (7.6 million – who says an earlier time slot harms the ratings?).
The episode is (surprise, surprise) currently number one on iPlayer. Perhaps more genuinely surprising is the fact that both “Let’s Kill Hitler” and “Night Terrors” are both still in the iPlayer Top 30.
“The Girl Who Waited” also trended (briefly) worldwide on Twitter last night and for longer on UK trends (where it’s still listed… just).
