Now here's something very cool indeed. Scifi.com has just released a little number called the Battlestar Galactica Videomaker Toolkit.
Ah, you're ahead of us, aren't you? Yes, this piece of software delivers everything a fan needs to create their own four-minute Galactica mini-movies (aside from copious amounts of gratuitous Number Six footage). It delivers more than 30 visual effects and 20 audio effects, along with choice cuts from the show's soundtrack.
Wannabe TV helmers [sorry folks - US entries only] are encouraged to post their completed videos on the Scifi.com site, to be praised or belittled by their peers. BSG exec producer David Eick will pick his favourite entry, and it'll be broadcast in its entirety on SCI FI during an episode of the show itself.
