Destroy All Humans: Big Willy Unleashed
Crypto and his bottomless bag of jokes returns in this mouth watering follow up
Our biggest beef with Destroy All Humans 2 was that it felt like the usually coldhearted alien, Crypto was more concerned with saving the world than destroying humans. But it looks like this won't be a problem in Destroy All Humans: Big Willy Unleashed. In this mouth watering follow up - set after the events in Destroy All Humans 2 - Crypto decides to open his own restaurant which features human flesh as the secret ingredient.
Although capturing and cooking people serves Crypto's antipathy towards mankind well, every hero - or anti-hero in this case - needs a nemesis. Enter a mysterious enemy who uses pirate radio broadcasts to spread the world that Crypto's restaurant, Big Willy's serves people, and you've got the chaos of frightened civilians, the gunfire of government forces raining down on you, and plenty of missions to blow stuff up that the series has been known for.
Above: If extinguishing life with flaming farts make you laugh out loud then Big Willy Unleashed should be next on your list of games to buy
Subtlety has never been the Destroy All Humans series' strong point, and Big Willy Unleashed comes packed with plenty of "pull my finger" quality jokes that will either have you laughing or grimacing as you zap, blast, fry, and blow up those pesky humans - when you're not collecting them to harvest brain stems and cook of course.
During our brief demo, we saw Crypto hop in the hind side of his restaurant's mascot, Big Willy. This fully armed and operational mech of death is a walking advertisement for destruction, and puts Crypto's UFO to shame with an arsenal of ass blasting attacks - including the Windbreaker shown above.
While we didn't get to score any hands-on time with the game, the game's executive producer, David Gray seemed to handle Crypto well with the Wii's remote and nun chuck. In addition to the Wii, Destroy All Humans: Big Willy Unleashed is also scheduled to release on the PSP and PS2 next year. In the meantime, check out the Images tab above for more flaming screenshots.
