Destroy All Humans! 2 trailer
[Multi] See how to make war, not love
Thursday 3 August 2006
THQ has released a new trailer of Destroy All Humans! 2 that shows how one little extraterrestrial can turn the Summer of Love on its head.
Set during the '60s, the sequel to 2004's darkly comic action game sees bad-tempered alien, Crypto 137, sent to earth to infiltrate, probe and generally cause a bit of a ruckus down on Earth.
The '60s were a time of peace marches, mind expanding drugs and free love, so many of Crypto's targets are sandal-wearing tree huggers. However, with the Cold War also at its peak during this period, you can rest assured that there will be more challenging - and probably less stoned - foes in the shape of secret agents and Soviet troops.
In addition to enhanced mental abilities from the original game, Crypto has a selection of new attacks tucked up the sleeve of his space suit. Meteor strike, for example, calls down a 50ft diameter flaming meteor from the heavens to cause huge destruction.
There will also be a new split-screen cooperative mode for the game, which will be released for PS2 and Xbox in October.
