When is the Destiny 2 weekly reset?

The Destiny 2 weekly reset on Tuesdays causes almost every activity and challenge in the game to change or reset, letting you continue looting and shooting. With so much to stay on top of, I've detailed everything you need to know about the weekly reset in Destiny 2, including exactly what time it happens and what changes.

The weekly reset is also a good time for Bungie to implement updates and hotfixes, usually resulting in the Destiny 2 servers going offline for maintenance a couple of hours prior to 5pm UTC. When they're back online (hopefully not long after the weekly reset time), make sure you update the game to avoid getting the Destiny 2 error code 'cat'.

What does the Destiny 2 weekly reset change?

When the weekly reset happens in Destiny 2, lots of activities and challenges will rotate, change, or entirely reset. As a special case, Xur’s arrival with a new haul of Exotic items and Trials of Osiris are weekend activities that only become available with every Friday daily reset and stick around until the following weekly reset on Tuesday. Obviously, Trials of Osiris challenges are inactive when Trials isn’t around, but Saint-14 can still be accessed at any time from the Tower Hangar.
