[Multi] Mr Washington linked with Halo role

Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington has been linked with the role of Master Chief for the Halo film, which is currently in production in New Zealand.

The rumour was first spotted on Australian film site Dark Horizons but there seems to be little information to back up the claim.

The Halo film is being produced by Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson and the rumours may have started after Denzel apparently had a meeting with the cuddly New Zealander earlier this year to discuss a project. The nature of the project isn't known, though.

This is of course just speculation, but it's nice to know that the lead role is being linked with A-list actors, despite the fact that Master Chief will no doubt keep his helmet on for the entire film, and so could be played by anyone with a body and a head.
