Things are about to go bump on a Saturday night. In new supernatural drama Demons, there’s an entire population of creatures of the night living right underneath London, and they’ve got designs on our world. Luckily, there’s someone standing between us and them!
To get you ready for the new show, we’ve created the SFX Demons Calendar to count down to its launch on ITV1 on Saturday 3 January.
Download it today – it’s totally free - and you’ll get daily updates with plenty of monster-based goodness to sink your teeth into, including SFX features about the show, photos and interviews with the cast, and our brilliant interactive map of Britain’s scariest places.
There's also a competition to win the ultimate vampire and monster DVD collection. Click here to download it to your desktop, and enjoy!
Know Your Demons!
Until recently, Luke Rutherford (Echo Beach’s Christian Cooke) was just a normal 18-year-old, more concerned about his A-levels than monsters. Then his godfather Rupert Galvin (Philip Glenister, aka Gene Hunt in Life On Mars) comes into his life and tells him that he’s the last in the Van Helsing family line, and that it’s his destiny to spend his life smiting the undead – it's unlikely that Luke's going to be quite so worried about A-levels in future...
Helping Luke in his fight against the demons (including a harpy, hyenas-in-hoodies and the vampiric form of teddy boy blood sucker Gladiolus Thrip) are his best mate Ruby (Holliday Granger) and Mina Harker (Zoe Tapper), a concert pianist who survived a brush with Count Dracula in Bram Stoker’s original novel. Sounds like a pretty good way to spend a Saturday night.
