Part remake and part total reboot of the original Saturn minigame, Death Tank is a superb real-time twist on Worms (orthe classic PC game Scorched Earth)and one of Live Arcade’s best online games. But it’s disgracefully overpriced. At 800 points this would be essential - but the 1,200 point asking price is a no-no.
Still, the concept is golden. Four tanks spawn at once, each with asimple goal: blow the other three tanks to Hell. You earn points for the damage you do and for being the last tank left alive, which you can spend onupgrades (shields, thrusters, nuclear warheads)to use in the rounds to come. It's effortless to understand and nearly impossible to quit.
