Dead Space 2: Severed Achievement and Trophy Guide
Get through Dead Space 2's Severed DLC and get every Achievement and Trophy on the way
Ship Shape
20 Points
Silver Trophy
Take out the gunship within 30 seconds.
Just before the end of Chapter One, you will come to an outside area where you need to fight a gunship. Destroy it within 30 seconds to pop the achievement. Of course the easiest way to do this is to fight is on casual, so if you are playing through on Zealot, make a save at the point just outside the door and come back to it after you complete the game and set it on casual for the quickest and easiest way to do it. If you want to take care of it while on zealot, then you will need to grab the first tank out of the wall on the left and toss it at the ship.Grab the second from the ground to the right and give it a chucking as well. Finally grab the third from the wall again for the final toss. Toss them at the ship, making sure to aim higher than you want since the tanks have poor trajectory. It will take 3 tanks on Zealot will bring it down for good and can be easily done with 10 seconds to spare.
The Betrayal
50 Points
Silver Trophy
Complete Chapter 1.
It is impossible to miss this achievement as when you hop in the shuttle, the first chapter ends and the reward is given.
The Sacrifice
50 Points
Silver Trophy
Complete Chapter 2.
When you complete the game, you will receive this second chapter achievement. As long as you were playing on Zealot, you will get a double dose of achievements/trophies when this one goes off, netting you a cool 100 points.
The Veteran
50 Points
Silver Trophy
Complete the game on Zealot difficulty.
This final achievement is just as the description says; finish the game on Zealot Mode. For some reason Severed didn’t seem nearly as difficult on Zealot mode as Dead Space 2 did and I would recommend starting your first play through on this mode. Just make sure you don’t ever change the difficulty and always stock up on health and ammo and you will always be good to go.
