Day The Earth Stood Still director talks
“Gort is Gort. What we designed pays homage to the original...”
Given the amount of worry people have about the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still, it seems only natural for the studio to go on a charm offensive and try to win a few converts.
They’ve launched the first salvo with the trailer and pics of Keanu, and now they’re following up by having director Scott Derrickson sit down with MTV and talk about the movie.
He confirms that the Gort in the new film will at least pay homage to the original, though we can naturally expect some changes, a fact which fans of the original will no doubt debate until they run out of breath. Click the link for Derrickson’s remarks as he explains more about his intentions.
