David S. Goyer to direct sci-fi thriller The Breach
Lionsgate set to fast-track the project
David S. Goyer might be snowed under with all manner of superhero shenanigans over at Warner, but his schedule is about to get even busier with the announcement of his next directorial project, The Breach .
Lionsgate has picked up the sci-fi thriller, adapted from the novel by Patrick Lee, beating Warner to the punch by virtue of their desire to get the project fast-tracked.
The film will follow a former cop turned ex-con, who discovers a strange artefact among the wreckage of a crashed 747 that just might hold the key to the fate of the future...
The Breach will be Goyer’s first directorial effort since The Unborn back in 2009, although he has gone behind the camera for TV work since then.
It is still thought that Goyer will pen the script for Warner’s Justice League adaptation, but with that film yet to receive a release date, nothing has been officially confirmed as yet...
