Se7en director's Halo 4 live-action launch trailer is light on severed heads in boxes, heavy on Jesus imagery
Se7en and Fight Club director swaps Gwyneth Paltrow's cranium for the inside of the Chief's
Halo 4's release date of November the 6th is looming over us like a big Jolly Green Giant space marine looms over a squeaky purple midget alien. And we all know what that means. Another Halo, another slightly over-serious live-action launch trailer. This one is a bit different though, given that a) it's been produced by Se7en and Fight Club director David Fincher, and b) it's a fair bit less pretentious than usual.
Pretty blunt stigmata imagery at 1:13 though. And that crucifiction pose in the opening and closing shots is fairly blatant too. Hmmm, what could they be getting at with this groundbreaking visual metaphor?
