Dark Souls 2 Ring guide - where to find each ring, and their effects explained
If you want to accent your skills in Dark Souls 2, then wearing rings is the way to go and we've got all their locations
Poisonbite Ring
Increases poison resistance. Found with a Pharros' Contraption in Earthen Peak. See our Dark Souls 2 Pharros' Contraptions guide for more information.
Can also be purchased from Cromwell the Pardoner in the Brightstone Cove Tseldora chapel.
Redeye Ring
Easier to be detected by enemies. Can be purchased from Sweet Shalquoir in Majula.
Red Tearstone Ring
Boosts physical attacks when HP is low. This is found by the Ruined Fork Road bonfire in Shaded Woods. Take the center path, and you'll come up a hill to this lone tree. Pick the corpse in the water nearby for the ring.
Ring of Binding
Limits HP reduction when Hollow. This is found on the balcony before the Cathedral of Blue. After lowering the drawbridge from the left path in Heide's Tower of Flame, cross over to find this chest before the fog gate.
Ring of Blades
Increases physical attack. Acquired by defeating The Pursuer.
Ring of Blades +1
Increases physical attack. Acquired by defeating The Pursuer that spawns in the Smelter Demon room.
Ring of Blades +2
Increases physical attack. Acquired by defeating The Pursuers that spawn in the Drangleic Castle throne room in New Game Plus.
Ring of Giants
Increases poise. Can be purchased from Lonesome Gavlan. He's found first in a building full of poisonous enemies in No-Man's Wharf, then in a cave beyond the first poison pool in Harvest Valley.
Ring of Giants +1
Increases poise. This is found by the Black Gulch Mouth bonfire in Black Gulch. As you move down the green path, there will be two giant worms. Across from the second worm's hole is a ledge you can drop to. Continue down the series of ledges here to find a large cave guarded by two giants. In the back is a chest containing the ring.
Ring of Giants +2
Increases poise. Received after defeating the Giant Lord in New Game Plus.
Ring of Knowledge
Increases intelligence. Can be purchased from Straid of Olaphis at the Straid's Cell bonfire in The Lost Bastille.
Ring of Life Protection
Nullifies death, but breaks. You can find this in No-Man's Wharf. When you start climbing the stairs on the hill, enter the first house on the left. Head upstairs and bust through the cupboards by the door to find a corpse holding the ring.
This can also be found by the Ruined Fork Road bonfire in Shaded Woods. Take the leftmost path, and when you reach pass under a stone arch, bear left. You can circle around the backside of the structure and pick this off a corpse.
Can also be purchased from Felkin the Outcast on the path from Majula to Huntsman's Copse.
Ring of Prayer
Increases faith. Can be purchased from Licia of Lindelt at either the Tower of Flame bonfire in Heide's Tower of Flame, or by the rotunda in Majula.
Ring of Resistance
Raises poison, bleeding, curse, and poison resistance. Can be purchased from Cromwell the Pardoner in the Brighstone Cove Tseldora chapel.
Ring of Restoration
Gradually restores HP. After defeating The Last Giants, you'll receive the Soldier Key. From the Cardinal Tower bonfire, climb down the ladder and cross the bridge over the fire pit. Use the Soldier Key to open the door here, then move straight ahead to the chest containing this ring.
Ring of Steel Protection
Increases physical defense. Received from Saulden after dying a certain number of times.
Ring of Steel Protection +1
Increases physical defense. You'll first encounter the NPC Lucatiel at the Unseen Path to Heide in No-Man's Wharf. You'll see her again inside the first tower at the Lost Bastille. When you next see her at the Lower Earthen Peak bonfire in Earthen Peak, she'll give you this ring.
Ring of Steel Protection +2
Increases physical defense. Received after defeating the Looking Glass Knight in New Game Plus.
Ring of Soul Protection
Nullifies death and petrification, but breaks. This is found in The Gutter, near the Upper Gutter bonfire. Continue over the walkway instead of dropping through, and you'll eventually leap to ledge with a chest that contains this. Keep on the path to face Melinda the Butcher in an invasion, then wind up back at the bonfire.
Can also be purchased from the Head of Vengarl.
Ring of the Dead
Keep human appearance even while Hollow. You'll receive the Key to the Embedded from defeating the Demon of Song. Return to the upper chamber in Drangleic Castle where you received the Key to King's Passage and open the cage here. Speak to the woman inside, and she will vanish, leaving you with this ring.
Can also be purchased from Grave Warden Agdayne in Undead Crypt.
Ring of the Evil Eye
Absorb HP from each defeated foe. Can be purchased from Sweet Shalquoir in Majula.
This is also found in The Gutter. Move through the zone until you cross a suspension bridge under another bridge. On the other side, bear left and look for some ledges you can drop to. Follow this path until you reach a cliff. The chest along the cliff contains this ring.
Ring of the Evil Eye +1
Absorb HP from each defeated foe. From the Harval's Resting Place bonfire in Grave of Saints, head back to the base of the well. Look down to spot another plank you can drop to. The corpse there holds the ring.
You can also find one of these in Dragon Aerie. After your first dragon encounter, head up the slope and cross the bridge. After your second dragon fight, head up the slope here to reach some ledges overlooking a third dragon. One of the corpses in this arena holds the ring.
Ring of the Evil Eye +2
Absorb HP from each defeated foe. Received after defeating the Throne Watcher and Throne Defender in New Game Plus.
