Daredevil season 2 trailer teases The Punisher and confirms release date

The first season of Marvel & Netflix's Daredevil was a big hit when it premiered back in April 2015, and it was no surprise when a second batch of episodes was quickly green-lit. The first teaser trailer for said season has now arrived, and while there is no new footage to speak of it teases the introduction of fan-favourite anti-hero The Punisher. Check it out below...

There had been speculation that Daredevil's second season would debut on Netflix on March 25th - the same day as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is released in cinemas - but the trailer confirms a release date of March 18th. Having the Netflix series go online a week before DC's biggest movie is a sensible move that is great news for superhero fans who are no doubt very interested in viewing both.

The trailer itself is cleverly put together, and we're probably not alone in thinking the artful imagery would look awesome on a bedroom wall. More revealing promos will no doubt reveal themselves as we get closer to release.

Starring Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Matt Gerald, Jon Bernthal, Rosario Dawson, Elodie Yung, Scott Glen, and Stephen Rider, Daredevil season 2 will debut on Netflix on March 18, 2016.
