How to use the Cyberpunk 2077 wardrobe feature to transmog outfits

The Cyberpunk 2077 wardrobe feature is essentially Night City's transmog, which is to say you can change what you're wearing but still ensure you have the best stats possible for your build. Up to six outfits can be stored at once that you can switch between whenever you like, and since you can change your appearance in Cyberpunk 2077 at will too, it means there is as much customisation as possible now. All you need to do is visit your wardrobe at any of V's apartments. Here's how the Cyberpunk 2077 wardrobe mechanic works.

How to use the Cyberpunk 2077 wardrobe transmog

The Cyberpunk 2077 wardrobe feature was a quality of life improvement added in the Edgerunners update. You don't have to complete a mission or speak to anyone about it, it's just a part of your outfit options back at your apartment. So, if your best level gear looks like this...

...you don't actually have to look like that anymore when you play.

To create a custom look that focuses on looking cool while other, hidden, gear does all the heavy lifting for stats, head to your clothes in your apartment and open them up. The first time you it you'll get this message:

As the message states, you can mix and match any item of clothing you've got to make an outfit - basically an appearance - that you can then equip without changing the stats of whatever you're actually wearing. The system will let you pick what you want to look like, and save up to six variations you can then equip at any time.

Whenever you check your character tab afterwards you'll see all your gear equipped that's actually having an effect, with the number of the outfit you're wearing next to it. Just select that whenever you fancy a change to swap to any other premade outfits you've previously created and stored back at your apartment. If you haven't been back to the game for a while then the update that added the new wardrobe features also brought with it some new Cyberpunk 2077 guns to try out.
