Cyber Monday Meta Quest deals 2024: What to expect for this year's event
Cyber Monday Meta Quest deals could get interesting this year, here's why
Cyber Monday Meta Quest deals are returning in early December this year, and we're excited for the kinds of headset and accessory offers they could bring. The Quest 3S lanching means that a new bundle is available for any Meta Quest headset purchase that's made at the moment, but with some price reshuffled happening as a result of the launch, we're curious about what that means for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
The best VR headset race is seriously heating up, and the Meta Quest 3 may not stay the frontrunner it has been for the last year. Moreover, if a newly affordable version of the same headset is coming soon, first-time buyers will surely be more attracted to that device. Let's just hope that if it does arrive before Cyber Monday, we'll still get some discounts on the existing Quest 3 to celebrate its first year on the shelves.
For now, we're rounding up all our expectations for Cyber Monday Meta Quest deals down below, including some broad pointers about the new headsets that are worth considering. If you want to know when the deals will start appearing, or where they can most often be found, we've got the answers for you. Similarly, if you want some examples of what was on offer last year, check out the list of deals we saved from our last Cyber Monday coverage.

Cyber Monday Meta Quest deals will officially start on Monday, December 2, 2024. What to expect from Cyber Monday Meta Quest deals in 2024
The Meta Quest 3 is proving a very popular VR headset this year, but if the constant rumors are to be believed, it'll be joined by a more affordable Quest 3S at some point soon. The Quest 3 only launched in October of 2023, meaning Cyber Monday deals were pretty much resigned to the launch bundle that included Asgard's Wrath 2 for both models, as well as six months' worth of Meta Quest+ for the larger 512GB SKU. Would could become of this year's deals, though?
The Quest 3S has now been confirmed after months of rumors and speculation, and it's coming to replace the Quest 2, as well as the Quest Pro and the Quest 3 128GB model. We expected the former to finally be retired since its stock levels have been dwindling of late, but to see the base model of the Quest 3 be discontinued is sad indeed. Still, the accessible price of the Quest 3S makes it an appealing device for even more people.
The Quest 3S and Meta Quest 3 512GB are now up for grabs with the addition of Batman Arkham Shadow at no extra cost. If you're interested in the flagship Quest 3, the 512GB model has seen a price reduction to $499. This is certainly cheaper than the $600+ price is was sporting before, so Black Friday and Cyber Monday could be a great time to buy one if that price holds.
Of course, it's unlikely that the Quest 3S will see a price change so soon after its launch, but there is always the competition to think about if you aren't fully sold on a Meta Quest device.
PSVR 2 is now fully PC compatible, which presents a serious bit of competition for any potential VR gamer who wants to use their gaming PC to play. PSVR 2 has a better display thanks to its OLED tech, and it's cheaper than the largest Quest 3 SKU.
There's also now the Pico 4 Ultra, a standalone headset that boasts better specs than the Quest 3, and again, a more affordable price tag. That headset is only available in the UK though, which doesn't leave many options for the largest market.
Luckily, HTC Vive has re-entered the race, and the HTC Vive Focus Vision is a new standalone device that's been heavily geared toward VR gaming on a PC. Touting DisplayPort for visually lossless gaming that's free of USB-C compression, this is a headset that could arguably take Meta's Quest devices for a serious ride. That is, for the enthusiast market. Its price of $999.99 / £999.99 isn't for everyone, but the high-end VR gamers will view it more as an option.
So there's plenty of Meta Quest competition if the deals don't go our way. Accessories, however, are a staple of any sales event like Cyber Monday, and we reckon the best value will be had here. A new head strap can add comfort, a charging station can display your headset neatly, and different facial interfaces could make your device more comfortable to wear.
The best Meta Quest accessories are worth looking at for existing owners since they can give you decent quality-of-life upgrades for cheaper than usual during Cyber Monday.

Ever since playing Journey at the age of 15, I’ve been desperate to cover video games for a living. After graduating from Edinburgh Napier University with a degree in Journalism, I contributed to the Scottish Games Network and completed an Editorial Internship over at Expert Reviews. Besides that, I’ve been managing my own YouTube channel and Podcast for the last 7 years. It’s been a long road, but all that experience somehow landed me a dream job covering gaming hardware. I’m a self-confessing PlayStation fanboy, but my experience covering the larger business and developer side of the whole industry has given me a strong knowledge of all platforms. When I’m not testing out every peripheral I can get my hands on, I’m probably either playing tennis or dissecting game design for an upcoming video essay. Now, I better stop myself here before I get talking about my favourite games like HUNT: Showdown, Dishonored, and Towerfall Ascension. Location: UK Remote
