Cyber Monday GPU deals 2024: graphics card offers to expect this year

Alright, so Cyber Monday GPU deals are on your mind. That's likely because you've endured a few years of lacklustre savings across the graphics card space, with even Black Friday failing to kick prices much below MSRP. The good news is that I think this year will be a winner for AMD and Nvidia discounts, especially since next-gen options will likely emerge in 2025.

I'm all too aware of the fact that the best graphics cards are allergic to Black Friday gaming deals. In a way, that's exactly why many of you will be thinking about Cyber Monday instead, as it'll perhaps be a last ditch attempt for retailers to clear out stock for the RTX 5090 and other cards arriving. Even then, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 probably won't be the star of the show, and the biggest savings will likely apply to mid-range and entry-level GPUs.

That's not to say I don't want to see the RTX 4090 get the Black Friday graphics card deals treatment, it's more that trends suggest it won't happen. In contrast to that, the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX has proven it can drop dramatically already, as it previously showed up for just $799 in 2024. I'll be keeping my eye on every card regardless in case there's any price movement, and you'll find everything you need to grab a bargain below.

When will Cyber Monday GPU deals start?

Cyber Monday deals will go live on December 2, 2024, however, we will likely see discounts start earlier than this following the aftermath of Black Friday (November 29th, 2024) so be sure to keep your eyes peeled over the course of the entire weekend.

Where will the best Cyber Monday GPU deals be?

Amazon and Newegg pretty much lead the charge when it comes to Cyber Monday GPU deals, but you'll find a decent selection at big box stores like Best Buy and Walmart too. To help you keep tabs on where to actually shop for component deals, we've whipped up a shortlist of retailers to keep an eye on:

US:
Amazon: What limited RTX-30 stock is available is for an average going rate
Best Buy: Focusing primarily on budget, mid-tier, and previous-gen GPUs
Newegg: Fairly standard prices on RTX-30 series and Radeon GPUs
Walmart: Offering a limited supply focusing on older graphics cards

UK:
Amazon:
Fair prices on RTX 20-series and older GPU models
eBuyer: Some of the fairest prices we've seen on the newest graphics cards
Currys: Decent prices on the Radeon RX 6000 cards and high-end RTX GPUs
CCL Computers: Some of the better prices on RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3080s

Are GPUs finally getting cheaper?

Graphics card prices are starting to normalise, but they aren't necessarily getting cheaper. That's largely thanks to global inflation and higher than ever MSRPs, but you'll find less overinflated price tags out there now that component shortages are now longer a thing.

Will graphics cards be cheaper on Cyber Monday?

GPUs will no doubt drop in price during Cyber Monday 2023. However, you'll want to be careful while browsing, as some price cuts are actually just inflated prices returning to normal. Before pouncing on any deals, we'd suggest checking the MSRP of the card in question to ensure you're actually getting it for cheaper.

Does Cyber Monday apply to graphics cards?

Last year, Cyber Monday graphics card deals weren't much to write home about. We're hoping 2023 will be different, as there's plenty of GPU stock to go around, and new gen models by Nvidia and AMD are now available. Simply put, there's no reason for retailers and sellers to hang onto older stock, and the sales event is a great opportunity to get rid of inventory using decent discounts.

How we find the best Cyber Monday GPU deals

To ensure you get the best GPU deal possible during Cyber Monday, we use a blend of our testing experience and price comparison expertise to assess ever discount. That means weighing up each graphics card's specs and features against its price history to determine whether it's good value for money. The last thing you want to do is buy a heavily discounted lemon, and its our quest to find proper discounts that are worth your attention.

Of course, GPU deals aren't a 'one size fits all', and we know that every player will have different budget and spec requirements. So, to ensure we're catering to all you lovely readers out there, we make sure to include a healthy spread of graphics card options are various price points, whether you're after something high end or cheap and cheerful.

Cyber Monday GPU deals: what to expect

Now that the RTX 4090 is a thing, we expect that remaining Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti will show up during Cyber Monday for less. Last year, that didn't really happen, but we'd be surprised if sellers are willing to hold onto old flagship stock for another year. Same goes for 80 and 70-class cards, as the RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 are now available and pack more of a punch for a similar price.

On the AMD side of things, you'll want to keep a close eye on RX 6000 GPUs. Team red now has a whole armada of new-gen cards at its disposal, including the RX 7900 XT, XTX, and lower spec RX 7800, 7700, and 7600 options. The effects of the latter's presence are evident, as you can already grab an MSI Radeon RX 6600 for less than you could during Cyber Monday right now, meaning it should drop to a record low in 2023.

It's also worth noting that Intel also now has a range of entry-level GPUs, and we fully expect the likes of the Arc A770 and A750 to take a price cut. Ultimately, that could help the blue team stand out from the crowd, as its graphics cards are already substantially cheaper than AMD and Nvidia alternatives.

If you're looking to pay as little as possible for a GPU, you'll no doubt be tempted by older, discounted GTX GPUs this Cyber Monday. We're not going to stop you, but while being able to grab a card for well under $200 sounds appealing, you may end up needing an upgrade sooner than later.

Sure, if you're simply looking to build a Minecraft or Roblox rig, options like the GTX 1650 may serve you well. However, there's little chance of the card running the latest games without major performance caveats, whereas you can avoid the same trouble by spending slightly more on a newer model.

During Amazon's recent Prime Day Big Deal Days event, we were treated to a bunch of GPU discounts, and even the RTX 4080 dropped below the $1,000 mark for the first time since its release. We're taking that as a sign that serious graphics card deals will be a thing this year, rather than inflated prices merely deflating to near MSPR.

Save $17 - You can now squeeze an Intel Arc A750 into a sub-$200 price point and while it doesn't pack the same kind of punch as an Nvidia or AMD option it's a solid piece of kit. We've been seeing those numbers closer to $250 recently, so this is a solid discount.

Save £40.00 - This RTX 4060 Ti 8GB card is down to its lowest price, and you're getting an overclocked GPU for only slightly more than MSRP. For context, a model with stock specs will set you back $399 if you can actually find one, and the extra change is arguably worth it for a performance boost.

Asus GeForce RTX 3060 V2 OC | £389.99 £287.99 at eBuyer
Save £102 - Armed with 12GB VRAM, this RTX 3060 is up for a nifty deal. Its price is still too close to the RTX 4060 for our liking, but this model at least provides more memory than others out there.

Palit RTX 3060 | £300.99 £258.98 at eBuyer
Save £51 - A fine RTX 3060 with a solid discount to boot, this one is a great option for most gaming rigs. It doesn't have the highest clock speed around, but you'll likely not notice that if you keep to gaming.

I’ve been messing around with PCs, video game consoles, and tech since before I could speak. Don’t get me wrong, I kickstarted my relationship with technology by jamming a Hot Wheels double-decker bus into my parent’s VCR, but we all have to start somewhere. I even somehow managed to become a walking, talking buyer’s guide at my teenage supermarket job, which helped me accept my career fate. So, rather than try to realise my musician dreams, or see out my University degree, I started running my own retro pop culture site and writing about video games and tech for the likes of TechRadar, The Daily Star, and the BBC before eventually ending up with a job covering graphics card shenanigans at PCGamesN.
