What to expect from Cyber Monday curved monitor deals
Normally, Cyber Monday tends to feature a healthy collection of curved monitor price cuts, and this year shouldn't be any different. A few newcomers have also rolled into the scene in 2023, so older models may end up cheaper as a result.
One of last years standout deals applies to the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9, as it dropped from $2,299.99 to $1,699.99 at Amazon. We suspect a similar offer will re-emerge in 2023, as the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 is now available to buy. There are still plenty of reasons to pick up the former mini-LED variant, but its counterpart's presence will hopefully provide retailers will an excuse to implement discounts.
The LG UltraGear 34-inch also dropped by $200 during last year's Cyber Monday event, and $599.99 feels like a sweet spot for the premium panel. A larger OLED alternative, the LG UltraGear 45GR95QE-B, as since arrived offering arguably better contrast and colors, but if you're looking to avoid four digit price tags altogether, it's worth keeping watch for cheaper models this year.
As for budget options, we'd suggest keeping tabs on 1080p models like Acer's AOPEN 24HC1QR. The screen was slashed from $179.99 to just $119.99 at Best Buy, a deal that enabled many to grab a curved screen for the same price as many flat budget variants. Better still, the 23.6 inch panel is also 144Hz, meaning players didn't need to completely skimp on specs to save.
This year, Amazon treated us to a Prime Day sequel sale ahead of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The event featured a bunch of fantastic curved monitor deals, with high end models across the board taking deeper than expected price cuts. One of our favorite deals applied to the 31-inch Samsung Odyssey Neo G8, which dropped from $1,499.99 to $999.99. On the cheaper side of things, the 24-inch Samsung Odyssey G3 24-inch was available for $149.99 thanks to a $100 discount, while Dell chopped $50 off its curved gaming monitor.
Typically, we'd expect Cyber Monday to offer up better deals than a secondary Prime Day event. However, there's a good chance Amazon's Big Deal Days prices will bear similarity to what we end up with this November. That doesn't mean the offers on show will be subpar, but it's proof that discounts won't necessarily wait till the festive season to spring up.
