Never heard of it? You're not alone. Madness Returns is the sequel to American McGee's Alice, which was a dark and twisted version of Alice in Wonderland. Both games drew praise from critics and fans, but tended to be sluggish in terms of sales. In fact, we called Madness Returns one of the most overlooked games of the PS3 / Xbox 360 generation.
As for the future of the series, McGee posted on Facebook in April 2015 that publisher EA has shown interest in returning to Wonderland, but there needs to be a demand from consumers as well. Mayhaps this backwards compatibility is the first step in testing those waters?
