Why you can trust 12DOVE
It’s a pity to carp at a low budget Brit-flick, so let’s start positive: writer/ director Richard Bracewell can’t be faulted for ambition, and he’s elicited strong performances from a B-list cast, along with welcome cameos from Tamsin Greig and Richard E. Grant.
Unfortunately, Cuckoo’s premise – a scientist (Laura Fraser) may or may not be hallucinating as she approaches a job interview – proves desperately undramatic.
