Chris Pratt has already signed on to take the lead in bonkers-sounding graphic novel adap Cowboy Ninja Viking, and it sounds like the film could have also found its director.
Or, more specifically, directors, as Variety report that John Wick helmers David Leitch and Chad Stahelski have been approached to oversee the film.
The directors have seen their directorial debut, John Wick, praised for its action kicks and its fantastic central performance by a resurgent Keanu Reeves.
Inspired by the graphic novel Cowboy Ninja Viking by A.J. Lieberman and Riley Rosmo, the film centres on a man suffering from multiple personality disorder who is transformed into a super-soldier with all the attributes of the titular pugilists.
Considering Chris Pratt's taking the lead, we're expecting the adap to be a sarky, action-packed ride that has its tongue firmly in its cheek.
Meanwhile, Pratt's due to shoot the Magnificent Seven reboot in the spring – and with Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 and a rumoured lead in the Indiana Jones reboot also on his slate, he's going to be pretty busy for the next couple of years.
