Great prizes up for grabs for the best costume at the upcoming SFX Weekender. What will you wear?
We know people love to dress up in their sci-finery for the SFX Weekender, especially during the big Saturday night party (yay, Craig Charles is back on the decks!). So much effort goes into preparing the costumes every time that this February we want to properly celebrate that in Prestatyn, so there will be formal prizes this year for the best. We have a selection of prizes including DVDs from our chums at Manga to give out on the night.
If you want to take part (and there's no obligation - you can just dress up for fun) then here's the plan:
Present yourself in costume in the main bar, the Queen Victorian pub, between 4pm and 7pm on the Saturday night. A panel, including comics star Tony Lee and SFX 's own Adrian Hill, will be there throughout to decide who goes through to the next round.
If you're one of the top 10 costumes they see, you'll be invited back to take your moment in the spotlight on the main stage later in the evening. On stage that night during the live final the panel will applaud the 10 finalists then reveal the winner and runners up, who'll receive their prize packs (and the acclaim of 4,000 fellow sci-fans).
So: start preparing your costume, and get ready to sign up from 4pm on Saturday 4 February 2012 at the Queen Victoria at Pontin's Prestatyn. For more information about the SFX Weekender please visit the official site (please note that all tickets have now sold out) or join us on the Facebook page .
