Conquer planets in SWTOR's Galactic Strongholds update
Your own little piece of the galaxy
All of the Jedi Knights and Bounty Hunters in the galaxy have been homeless hobos in SWTOR up to this point. Recognising this, Bioware has come up with a player housing solution which will be available through the Galactic Strongholds update--enabling players to purchase homes around the game world and decorate them. But this update is quite a bit more than just getting your own moisture farm on Tatooine, guilds can also purchase their own massive flagship and go on planet-conquering quests.
Subscribing players can purchase property in their faction's core worlds Coruscant and Dromund Kaas as well as on Nar Shaddaa and Tatooine when the update hits on August 19th. From there, it's up to you to collect decorations and personalize your place by purchasing, crafting, and looting furniture and other goodies.
Take it a step further and you and your guild can buy a Flagship. These gargantuan dreadnaughts can be decorated with contributions from your guild mates and flown through hyperspace. But these ships aren't just for show. Guild members on the Flagship can take on new, weekly featured Conquest Events (similar to Operations) that allow your guild to conquer planets for various rewards and flagship upgrades. If you aren't in a guild, now's the time to join the biggest one you can find.

Decorating is done using a hook system that has designated places for item types.
Strongholds are accessible to every character in your legacy.
Decorations can be found all around the galaxy, even in Operations and Flashpoints.
To have a successful Conquest Event, you'll have to make use of your Flagship's starfighter flyby attack.
