Here's 8 familiar faces from the first Beauty and the Beast live-action trailer - how do they compare?
The first full trailer for Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast adaptation is here. The key players have some new looks, but you shouldn't have much trouble recognizing them from their cartoon days in the 1991 original (and its cavalcade of direct-to-video follow-ups).
I've put together some comparison shots so you can take a closer look at how these familiar characters are being adapted to life in a world more like our own. But not entirely like it, obviously, unless you've all been hiding the talking candelabras from me.

Most importantly, it also adapts the Gaston musical number.
Directed by Bill Condon and starring Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Emma Thompson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ewan McGregor, Ian McKellen, Josh Gad, Kevin Kline, and Stanley Tucci, Beauty and the Beast is set for release on March 17, 2017.
