Sega has confirmed a delayed Company of Heroes 2 release date of June 25, 2013 in North America and Europe.
The strategy sequel was originally slated for release this month under former publisher THQ, from whom Sega acquired the game’s developer Relic for $26 million in January.
Company of Heroes 2 producer Greg Wilson said today: “We hate to disappoint our fans with a later than expected date as we know they are eager to play but we feel that the additional time will help the team deliver the high quality sequel fans deserve. However, the wait won’t be long as players will soon be able to help us test and balance multiplayer in the upcoming closed beta. Details will follow shortly.”

We also said of the campaign side of things in this Company of Heroes 2 preview: “CoH2 feels like the Company of Heroes you know and love, with more strategic wrinkles - like body temperature and cracking ice - to keep you on your toes.”
