Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
A fresh burst of armor-piercing Command & Conquer 3 details
More details have emerged regarding EA's much-anticipated Command %26amp; Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, the sequel to the biggest real-time strategy franchise ever on the PC.
A third race will join the decade-old skirmish between the forces of Nod and the Global Defense Initiative, and new weapons will be available to set your monitor alight. Units such as the Mammoth tank and Orca aircraft will return, and the game will be powered by the technology behind the epic RTS games Battle for Middle-Earth I and II.
There have been plenty of Command %26 Conquer spin-offs and cul-de-sacs over the years, but this is the first true sequel to the games that kicked off the treasured franchise. The only trouble is that, after such a long wait, we're still in for a long wait: C%26C 3 won't be touching down until early 2007.
