Colin Trevorrow wont direct Jurassic World sequel
Jurassic World may still be a week or so away from stomping into cinemas, but Colin Trevorrow has already been discussing a potential sequel. However, it doesn’t sound as though the director plans to step behind the camera for a second time…
While a sequel has not been officially confirmed by Universal, Trevorrow was asked by BadTaste whether he would be interested in returning for a second outing during a recent interview. And while the director would like to stay involved with the franchise, it would probably be in a less hands-on capacity.
“Jurassic Park is like Star Wars,” said Trevorrow. “Different directors can give a different taste to each movie. I would be involved in some way, but not as director.” In the meantime, we can see the fruits of Trevorrow’s labours on the first film when Jurassic World opens in the UK on 11 June 2015, and the following day in the US.
