CM Punk, Bobby Roode, AJ Lee: the 15 WWE 2K17 creations you have to download right now

Mickie James

The one-time Alexis Laree was second on our list of most-wanted WWE 2K17 DLC characters – and while she didn't make the game, a comeback bout against Asuka at NXT Takeover in real life did not disappoint. Use Cawvengeance's creation to relive that match-up.

Scott Steiner

There's no contemporary explanation for Big Poppa Pomp being recommended in this spot – it's merely because IRONBILO's effort is too good to miss out on. There are also no outstanding versions of brother – and tag partner – Rick yet, but he's another worth keeping tabs on via Community Creations.

TJ Perkins

One of WWE's greatest success stories this year was its 'Cruiserweight Classic' tournament, which resulted in the crowning of the company's first champion in that weight class since 2007. Perkins won it, and already looks a natural fit in the 'E. GaMeFReAK_US concocted this.

Kurt Angle

Ultimate Warrior and Goldberg have both made unlikely reunions with WWE in recent years through its videogame series, and rumours abound that this legitimate Olympic champ will do the same in 2K18. For now, run with OverusedChicken's exceptional stand-in.

Ember Moon

While Japanese veteran Asuka currently dominates NXT's women's division, Ember Moon – real name Adrienne Reese – is quietly being built up as her greatest threat, after debuting the night before Summerslam. GiovyEd94 is behind this ace creation.

Rhyno

The third name on this list, after Maryse and Kendrick, to have returned to WWE in 2016 and made the most of their Indian summer. Rhyno is the reigning Smackdown tag champ with Heath Slater, and wwe_rr2000's CAW is among the first you should download.

Jeff Hardy

One of the few stars of recent times to jump from WWE to TNA at the height of their popularity, the Charismatic Enigma is among the series' most popular creations every year. One month post-release, BathoryV's swanton-bombing high flyer is the pick of numerous virtual Hardy Boyz.

Ben Wilson

I'm GamesRadar's sports editor, and obsessed with NFL, WWE, MLB, AEW, and occasionally things that don't have a three-letter acronym – such as Chvrches, Bill Bryson, and Streets Of Rage 4. (All the Streets Of Rage games, actually.) Even after three decades I still have a soft spot for Euro Boss on the Amstrad CPC 464+.
