Chris Nolan confirms Dark Knight Rises is last chapter
Will be his final Batman film
Christopher Nolan has revealed what we all expected/feared – The Dark Knight Rises will be the “last chapter” of his Batman saga.
While talking with EW , the director confirmed that his third Batman film will be his final hurrah. But he’s more than happy to be returning to Gotham again.
“I feel very glad that I’m doing another Batman film,” he says. “I think it would have been daunting to sit down and write an original script after Inception .
“I love working within the realm and rules of our Batman world. It’s kind of nice to have someplace to go that I’m super-excited about.”
The director is also busy working on an Inception video game, which is being kept as tightly under wraps as the film was. Does he think an Inception 2 could be a possibility in the future?
“It’s not something I want to say no to, but it’s not something I’ve given a lot of thought about.”
Looks like we’ll have to make do with Batman for now. Which is fine by us.
