Chris Hemsworth is being a bit cheeky this week. The Thor actor posted a picture of his hand - or at least, I assume that's his hand - holding a small hammer with the caption "#Thor3, expect big and little changes" on Instagram:

Now, while that might at first seem to be a visual pun/aide for Hemsworth's tease, I kind of wonder if there isn't a more significant way to read this. While not 1:1 adaptations, the MCU movies are obviously inspired by events and storylines that transpire in the printed page. And if you've been following Marvel comics for the past couple years, you know that Thor Odinson no longer wields Mjolnir, the mighty hammer we usually associate with him.
Could Thor: Ragnarok likewise make the Avenger unworthy to hold the hammer? It would certainly provide an interesting character arc, and force Thor to resort to other measures when the bad guys need punching. Green, hulking measures, maybe? Let us know your thoughts, and if you've seen something newsworthy, tell us!
Directed by Taika Waititi and starring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, Cate Blanchett, Karl Urban, and Mark Ruffalo, Thor: Ragnarok will be released in UK cinemas on October 27, 2017 before opening in US theaters on November 3, 2017.
